Shippensburg's Art, Wine & Brew Festival: 

 

June 2, 2012    12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Shippensburg University and the Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce are excited to present 

the 5th Annual ArtSHIP: Shippensburg’s Art, Wine and Microbrew Festival and we invite you to participate. 

The festival will feature tastings from your finest wineries, breweries, musicians, artists and chefs. 

 

Funds from this event will aid the Shippensburg D.O.I.T. committee 

to help revitalize our beautiful town of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.  

Shippensburg is nestled along I-81 within driving distance of communities 

in Harrisburg, Carlisle, Gettysburg and Hagerstown, Maryland.

 

Join us over Shippensburg University’s Alumni Weekend on
Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 12 – 5 p.m. to enjoy local artists, wines and craft brews.

FESTIVITIES

ART, WINE & BREWS: 
At the Earl Street Triangle you will find various artists, musicians, wineries and breweries to enjoy.  

Tickets can be purchased at the Shippensburg Chamber of Commerce (717.532.5509) 

or at the gate, the day of the event.
Cost of the wristband is $20 and includes your admittance to
the festival, souvenir wine/beer glass, sampling and entertainment. 
There is a $5 admittance fee to the festival for ages 13 and up. 
Children 12 and under are free.

ART & ARTISTS ON DISPLAY:  
There will be a wide array of  Shippensburg University students and alumni, 

SHAPE artists and local artists demonstrating and selling their artwork.

10K Race: 
10K (6.2 miles) race starts at 10:00 a.m.
The course travels through the SU campus and on the Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail.

Prior to ArtSHIP
"Join us from 9-12 at The Thought Lot on 37 E. Garfield St. in downtown Shippensburg for Art, Music and Food before ArtSHIP. We will be selling breakfast sandwiches, donuts and coffee to all of our hungry art appreciators.  There will be local art on display as well as local live music. Stop over and get a good breakfast before you enjoy Shippensburg's Art, Wine & Brew Festival."

After ArtSHIP
"If after ArtSHIP y  end, join SHAPE (Shippensburg Arts Programming and Education) at 20 West King Street in Downtown Shippensburg for the "After Party." From 5:15-7:45pm, enjoy a visit to the gallery while sampling hors d'oeuvres prepared by local restaurant Biscotti and a sampling of wine, beer, and refreshing dirnks. Guests can view the Seventh Annual Members' Exhibition in which SHAPE member artists bring out their latest works and relax on SHAPE's patio before heading off to other evening plans.  To attend the "After Party", place a reservation with Tom Crochunis (tccroc@ship.edu) by May 18; cash payment of $15 per person can be made at the door."

End your day by enjoying a great performance by Cornell Gunter's Coasters, Bobby Hendricks Drifters & The Platters appearing live in concert at 8 P.M. at the H.
